Aged glass shows some characteristic spotting and antiquing. Two structural cracks running through the inner liner // molding and extending slightly into the main wooden frame at the top and bottom. Vertical fracture splits the thin, painted inner lip - pinkish // gold inner liner and continues down across the main dark wood molding. Close-up reflection clearly shows heavy foxing, de-silvering, and dark spotting typical of old mercury or early silvered glass.
Victorian Era Mirror. Craquelure Present. Significant foxing + de-silvering to mirror. Two Large Cracks. Structurally Sound. Ready To Hang. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. Pinkish-gold inner border shows significant craquelure - fine spiderweb cracking in the finish, which is very common in authentic antique frames with gilded liners. Authentic Antique. Natural Patina.
