Unique tabletop statement piece. Likely 1870-1890. Hand-crafted, solid-wood back construction. Solid 19th-century construction - authentic, pre-plywood craftsmanship. Two-Piece solid wood backing.
Antique chest is in good condition - all drawers working + structurally sound. Patina Present. Nicks and scuffs on wood. Some loss to the finish near each hardware. Top drawer is divided into 5 sections. Internal felt color is mustard. Writing in pencil underneath second drawer. Felt shows age appropriate wear. Some deep scratches throughout - see photographs. Looks like it is missing 2 pieces of hardware on the base - does not affect structural integrity. original green felt on bottom - age appropriate distress + discoloration. loss to top on one edge - see photographs.
