Manufactured in Germany during the late 19th Century. CIrca 1880s-1890s. Bust features a “low brow” short black molded hairstyle, painted blue eyes, and a molded collar and tie. Gold accents detail the collar., and the name “Ethel” is embossed directly across the front chest.
There is distress and discoloration present. Notably, hairline crack on the back seen inside + out, structurally sound. German factories produced these named series featuring popular Victorian names so children could choose a doll with their own name.
