Antique (1899) Signed + Dated Original Art : Linear Perspective Drawing - Pen + Ink on Illustration Board.

Features ink sketches demonstration basic rules of one-point and two-point linear perspective drawing. Diagrams break down fundamental concepts commonly found in vintage art instruction manuals. Exercise illustrates a wooden platform, a well pump structure, a running rabbit, and a distant bird. Horizon line is marked by an "M" on both ends. Rather than meeting at one central point, the edges of the building recede toward two separate vanishing points located off-center along the horizon line to create a three-dimensional sense of corner depth.

Victorian Era Art. From the collection of Oswin H. Herb in 1899 during his time at K.S.N.S. Keystone State Normal School which is now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Bottom Exercise : Depicts a cabin or farmhouse angled away from the viewer. May 15th, 1899. Hand-drawn assignment from a historic American teacher's college. Very end of the 19th century. Late 1800s, "Normal Schools" were specialized institutions dedicated entirely to training high school graduates to become certified teachers.
