Widely popular French domestic medical guide. Peyronnet is listed as the director of the “Oeuvre Humanitaire” (Humanitarian Work), and the book was sold directly by him at 32 rue Cremieux in Paris. It is a practical guide intended to help people treat common ailments using natural remedies, medicinal plants, and traditional home recipes.
Marbled Boards and end papers. Leather spine with gilt lettering. Binding Is Tight. Foxing + discoloration present on pages. The fold out is creased and shows foxing. There is a tear near the spine. I have not straightened out the way it was folded by a previous owner as it has been folded like that for some time and wanted to prevent any further damage to the illustration.
