Antique (1910s) Photograph - Children In Field.
Late 19th or early 20th century (1890s-1910s). Depicts a young girl and boy relaxing in a field of tall grass, a common theme for turn-of-the-century “snapshots” or studio-arranged outdoor portraits. Photograph is presented in a modern acrylic “sandwich” frame, which uses decorative brass-toned bolts to secure the image between two clear plates. Sepia-toned, slightly faded quality is characteristic of an albumen print or an early silver gelatin snapshot. Clothing - specifically the boys flat cap and the girl’s elaborate headwear - is consistent with late Victorian or Edwardian echildren’s attire.
