“Hurry put a beau’ful pair o’ new gloves
on my fat little hands to day
But you know they sort o’ scare me,
Those gloves is very expensive ones
white knitted ones would do,
But those are real kidskin.
Oh dear I wonder who -
Cause of’en when big Uncle Bob
Comes out wif us to stay
He kisses mother; an he says,
“How are the kids today?
Now who you spose he means by “kids”?
Why _____ _____ in me!
I wonder who on earth got skinned
To make these gloves for (torn off)
The frame was added at a later time. Ready to hang. There is some distress on the wood frame. The paper is torn at the bottom right and I cannot decipher two words in the poem.
