Featuring an eight-pointed Star design constructed from diamond-shaped fabric pieces. Each section consists of an 8-point star divided into detailed diamond patchwork rows. Follows a four-block arrangement, combining different color palettes (red, pink, gray/blue, and green) within individual large square panels. Utilitarian Cotton Quilt. Irregular, running hand-stitches using contrasting thread.
Staining + small tears throughout. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. Backing material is a vintage patterned fabric featuring dark blue + black illustrations on an off white // light cream background. Pattern displays stylize, repeating sketches of birds - resembling rooster or pheasants - amid fine, geometric abstract lines. Straight machine-quilting lines used to secure the layers are visible from the reverse, forming a gift of vertical and horizontal channels across the print.
