Antique (1880s) Personalized Handmade Wooden Storage Box
Distinctive raised wooden letters “M” and “A” flanking a triangular center divider serve as the owner’s personalized initials. Built for heavy utility, the box features brass-capped protective corner brackets held securely by multiple flush rivets.
Box is in good antique condition. Appears to be a repurposed box, see writing on sides and inside tray. There is a crack on the top and bottom of the box - still very durable and sturdy. Removable Tray Insert. Outfitted with a central stamped brass single—point latch loop, common on transitional traveling boxes, maritime ditty chests, and industrial tool boxes. Heavy.
