19th century. These ornate textiles served as essential, highly valued bedcoverings in early American households. This is a two-panel double weave piece. Crafted using natural, undyed cotton threads along with vibrant, deep indigo-dyed wool yarns.
Reversible. Age Appropriate distress and discoloration throughout. In good condition for age. Vertical seam split right down the center where the two individually woven panels were carefully stitched together. Main pattern consists of elaborate floral medallion motifs framed by geometric accents. Union Border.
