Vintage (1927) Redwork Embroidered Quilt - C. H. R.
Traditional American folk art textile featuring Turkey Red cotton thread hand-stitched onto a white // off-white fabric background. Center medallion reads “DEC 1927”, which places its completion at that time. Initials “C H R” stitched inside the laurel wreath likely denote the maker’s initials or the recipient of the textile as a gift.
Some small staining + discoloration. One small tear / rip. Includes common historical Redwork imagery, such as a floral bouquet, a flower basket, and a lucky horseshoe interlaced with blossoms. Historical. Hand quilted stitching throughout. Found in As-Is condition in Pennsylvania.
