Striking Pink and white design. Distinct variation within the Rob Peter to Pay Paul Family. Look at the intersections where four Pink or four white points meet, you can see they form sharp, elongated star points or a web effect rather than rounded paddle shapes. Interconnected curved blocks create alternating Pink and white configurations, meaning The background and foreground swap depending on how your eyes focus on the shapes.
There is some yellowing and one stain. No rips or tears present. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. Beautiful, tight hand-quilting stitches running a long the contours of the curves. Back of the quilt highlights the incredible hand-quilting workmanship that went into this piece. Hand-quilting utility stiches. Hand-Pieced Backing. Right down the middle of the quilt, a vertical seam line is visible where two lengths of fabric were joined to make a backing wide enough for the quilt.
