Pictorial album documenting the Great New England Hurricane of 1938, also known as the Long Island Express. The storm, a Category 3 hurricane, made landfall on September 21, 1938, with little warning. It caused hundreds of deaths and devastated coastal communities in Long Island and Southern New England.
The spiral bound softcover book is in good vintage condition. The front cover has detached at the bottom two rungs. Includes photographs and engravings. Piece of tape on the front cover that has not been removed due to possibly causing damage upon removal.
