Vintage (1940's) Brass Ink Blotter With an Art Deco-style Geometric Design.
These desk accessories were used in the days of fountain pens to quickly dry excess ink on paper by rocking the absorbent blotting paper (typically felt or cardstock-like paper) over the wet text. The handle unscrews, allowing the base’s felt or paper pad to be replaced when saturated.
Patina is present on the brass. Light scratches to surface.
