Beautiful Example. Most likely dating back to the 1930s to 1950s. During this era, it was highly popular to purchase pre-stamped cotton blocks or transfer patterns - often from companies like Aunt Martha's, Vogart, or Walker-Turner - to embroider at home using colorful cotton embroidery floss. Very bottom row features classic chore-of-the-day motifs. Depicting Sunbonnet Sue or a stylized colonial girl.

Staining throughout. No rips or tears. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. Once a variety of blocks were stitched, they were pieced together into a single "sampler" blanket or nursery quilt. Several distinct vintage design themes can be seen across the squares : Days of the week // Chores, Animals + Nature // Floral Baskets // Monogram Letters. Whimsical depicts of animals such as a giraffe, a squirrel among oak leaves, bluebirds, ducks, a donkey, and little mice.
