Vintage (1940s) Hand Stitched Dresden Plate Quilt.
Highly popular American quilting pattern. Each block features a circular “plate” made of wedge-shaped fabric petals radiating from a central circle. Petals in this specific quilt have pointed tops and alternate between solid pink and solid white fabrics.
The muted tones on this quilt are beautiful. There are a few white circular stains on backing that do not show through to the front. Uneven stitching throughout leading me to believe it is hand stitched. Features 20 completed Dresden Plate blocks arranged in a 4×5 grid.
