Arrangement of vintage men’s suiting wool and rouser fabric scraps. This style is a heavy utility quilt built for durability and serious warmth. Makers frequently built these using salvaged heavy wools, corduroy, flannels, tweed, and patterned suitings from old coats, trousers, or tailor sample books.
Heavy staining + discoloration throughout. Some rips + tears present. See Photographs. Backing is “Wild West” novelty print cotton fabric. One section on the back has rainbows + igloos. Hand stitching along seams. Hand-Tied Knots. This blanket is heavy and likely has another blanket inside used as batting. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania.
