Vintage (1950s) Photographic Negative - Subject Matter Likely 80s/90s
This is likely from an early to mid-20th-century camera format but used to shoot in the 80s/90s. The subject appears to be a figure in an expressive or theatrical pose, a common theme in vintage studio and art photography. Because it is a negative, the light and dark areas are reversed : the bright white figure would appear dark in a developed print, while the dark surroundings would appear light. First picture is what the negative looks like scanned. The notched edge at the top is a standard feature for sheet film, helping photographers identify the film type or emulsion side in the dark.
The photo seems unfocused outside of her face.
Measurements : 5.25” x 4”
