Charcoal Grey crew-neck wool cardigan featuring ribbed cuffs, collar, and hem, along with a woven grosgrain ribbon placket down the front button closure. 1950s-1960s. Produced by Peter Freund Knitting Mills, Inc., a historic American knitwear manufacturer founded in 1919 and based in North Bergen, New Jersey. Based on the woven label typography, grosgrain ribbon button placket, and classic crew-neck silhouette, this sweater dates to the 1950s or early 1960s.
Good Vintage Condition. Age Related Wear. Some Pilling Present. Structurally Sound. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. 100% selected wool and treated to be permanently mothproofed - a popular midcentury textile finish designed to protect natural wool fibers from insect damage.
