Vintage (1960s) Bars Baby Quilt.
Handcrafted patchwork quilt, specifically constructed in a classic vertical “Bars” or “Strippy” pattern featuring alternating panels of green and patterned red fabric. Alternating vertical bands create a traditional “Bars” design, a structural format frequently used in historical Mennonite and Amish quilting. Finished with a dense, organic wavy line top stitch that runs horizontally across the bands, giving the piece a rich, crinkled texture.
There is some staining throughout. End stitching is coming loose in one area. No rips or tears. Would be great as a wall hanging // used at the end of a bed. Dark red panels showcase a small, micro-floral repeating pattern, while the green Stripes feature tiny stars. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. Traditional Striped Quilt.
