Distress + Discoloration. Written on the bottom of the bag in black marker : L.R. Hampton 198-46-0965 U.S.M.C. Stamped US in black ink. Writing in black ink on inside strap. Padlock included no key. Bags with this specific layout - single strap, heavy canvas, and side pocket - were heavily utilized during the Vietnam War era and the mid-20th century.
