Printed with the standard USMC Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. Heavyweight olive drab canvas fabric. Metal grommets at the top for a secure locking eyelet closure. Attached fabric shoulder strap and a side grab handle. An external snap-button pocket for small items or ID tags. Stenciled same at the bottom reading “LAURIE”. Vietnam War Era, likely produced between the mid-1960s and mid-1970s. Small, rectangular flap pocket on the front was added to the standard single-strap canvas duffel bag in the early-to-mid 1960s to hold shipping documents or ID cards.
Made of heavy cotton duck canvas. This is a “Type I” variant with a single shoulder strap. Paint splatter present. Stamped. Some holes throughout. staining and discoloration throughout. stamped ““18” on the inside of the bag.
