Vintage (1970's) Wood Screen-Printed Caution "OPEN PIT" Safety Sign.
Safety warning used to alert individuals to the presence of an uncovered excavation, trench, or hole in the ground that could pose a risk of falling. Found in construction zones, mining areas, maintenance sites, roadwork zones, and other industrial or farm settings where open pits or ground openings are present.
The wood is Masonite. There is distress and discoloration to the sign. The screen-printing was done off-center. Two holes in the center for mounting.
