Beautiful + Classic. Gul - Medallions. Central field features two distinct columns of elongated, octagonal geometric motifs known as guls- often called the “elephant’s foot” pattern. These represent the specific tribal weaving crest of the Tekke Turkmen tribe. Inner field is framed by intricate geometric minor borders, flanked on the top and bottom by wide patterned endpoints - elem // rug’s skirt - and finished with long, natural fringes.
Good Vintage Condition. Even Wear. Age appropriate distress + discoloration. one edge of fringe shows additional wear. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. Structurally Sound. Striking salmon pink // rose background, beautifully contrasted with deep indigo blue, ivory white, and black accent lines. Classic Tribal Look. Fine Craftsmanship.
