Vintage (1990s) Geometric Quilt.
Beautiful. Soothing combination of sage green, light olive, and deep burgundy / plum / Brown tones. Piece is finished with crisp, cross-hatched geometric diamond quilting lines across the surface. The machine quilting stands out cleanly. Heavy use of deep hunter / forest green combined with muted plum, burgundy, and warm sage greens was arguably the defining palette of 1990s home decor and quilting. Center features a miniature windowpane plaid/homespun check, which was incredibly popular during the 90s country-style quilting boom.
Clean. No tears or rips. Found in as-is condition in Pennsylvania. Dark olive / sage green binding from the front folds over smoothly to form a framing edge on the back. Stitch tension is beautifully balanced. Strongly point to the late 1980s through the late 1990s era. Surrounding fabrics mimic a mottled sponged texture or basic tonal print, which were the predecessors to Modern high-definition batiks and became staples in 90s quilt shops to coordinate with calicos.
