$100.00

Late Local Artist. Native of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Passed away in 2015. Reclusive shut-in painter who lived alone in Lebanon. Painted an enormous, powerful body of work strictly for himself, which was entirely unseen by the public or local art community until his neighbor and a local gallery owner discovered stacks of his art in his home years after his passing. Outsider Art. Art Brut style mixed-media figural painting.

Separation at the bottom of the painting from the wood stretcher. Signed and dated bottom. Ready To Hang. Style perfectly encapsulates Raw Art or Brut / Outsider Expressionism. Heavily characterized by intense psychological themes, abstract self-portraits, primitive distorted figures, and unique three-dimensional paint relief textures. ZITKUS 4 97. Upper right border, the letters PPP are painted in bold red.
